There For Tomorrow
There For Tomorrow
There for Tomorrow is a band from Orlando, Florida that combines alternative rock/post-hardcore music with adrenaline filled lyrics. Featured members are Maika Maile (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), Christian Climer (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jay Enriquez (bass/backing vocals), and Chris Kamrada (drums). They are currently signed to Hopeless/Sub City Records.

There for Tomorrow formed in 2003 at a time when all of its members were teenagers (although Christian Climer did not join the band until 2006). They were originally called The Kick Off, but changed their name after playing numerous local shows. The band's debut album Point of Origin was released on 30 April 2004. They began playing local radio station showcase concerts, which led to stints on the southeastern leg of the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 and 2007. After the tour, they met with James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore), who produced their 2007 Pages EP, which attracted the attention of the alternative rock label Hopeless Records. He returned to produce their self titled EP, released on 5 August 2008, featuring the first single "No More Room to Breathe." Just over three months later, the band won the MTVU Woodie Award for breakout artist of the year, beating established acts such as All Time Low and We the Kings.

Starting in 2008, after Cody Carson, then a student at the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music in Ohio, decided that his true passion was the road, and creating music that fans alike could relate to, moved home, where he reconnected with Kerr, Something and Clermont.

In the past year, the Tampa Florida based band released their second EP, Calm Before the Storm; played the Warped Tour; racked up nearly a dozen endorsements and were featured on Friends Or Enemies and in Alternative Press and Substream magazines. They are tireless performers, racking up some 200 gigs on a more than 10 tours since July 2008; racking past 80,000 miles on their van and even more voracious self-promoters, always looking for ways to connect with their many fans online and in person. They know the fans are what drives their career, so they do as much as possible to interact with them.

Feeling they've grown up from their trendy beginnings and tired with the generic sound in the scene as a whole, they’ve focused on developing a new sound for themselves, something they like to call “Orchestral Pop”, fusing their classical backgrounds (Carson and Clermont were both in Jazz band) with pop music, something they hope, will “Set It Off” in the industry.

What lacks in most recent talent is the ability to create music for themselves - for the art, for the love. But It is this that truly sets Divided By Friday ahead of the pack. The band has and always will stay true to themselves as artists.

The band seems to have a new-found confidence now that they've signed with Hopeless Records for their first Indie Label debut. The relationship between the ba...nd and the label has been nothing short of amazing.

"It's really been a dream come true for us to sign with Hopeless Records," says guitarist/vocalist Matt Morgan, "They're the perfect fit for us and we're so stoked about our future together. We've always been such huge fans of all the bands on the Hopeless roster, so its very surreal for us to be joining such an amazing and talented family
